1) Open up the Dial-Up Networking folder from My Computer. Double-click the Make New Connection icon. 2) Provide a name for your connection. Replace My Connection with 100 Mile NetShop. Then click Next. 3) Enter the area code which is 250. Type the dial-up telephone number which is 395-1925. Select Canada for the country, then click Next. 4) Press Finish. 5) Open My Computer then the Dial-up Networking folder. You will see the 100 Mile NetShop connection here. For easier dialing later, you may want to create a shortcut on your desktop by right-clicking on the 100 Mile NetShop icon and left-click on Create Shortcut. 6) You will then get a dialogue box that says Windows cannot create a shortcut here. Do you want the shortcut to be placed on the desktop instead? 7) Just click yes and it will create a Shortcut to the 100 Mile NetShop dial-up connection on your desktop. Anytime you want to connect after your initial set up, you can just click on this icon and you'll be on your way. |
