V. Emblem
In August 1995, a community-wide contest was held to acquire an emblem to represent the Community Health Council. The following design was chosen to represent the Council in keeping with its Vision and Mission Statement:

(Adopted: October 5, 1995)

The three shades of trees represent:

· the vision of quality, accessible and affordable health care in a healthy community;

· the continuum of health care services that the Council will deliver;

· people helping people - the middle tree cannot be seen without the help of the two outside trees;

· the diversity of people and their health care needs within the community.
